“Critical Thinking: The Soul of Effective Communication” . My view on communication and critical thinking impacting my future role as a leader in the workplace.
Communication and critical thinking are essential and necessary in the workplace environment. As inferred from the excerpt, having poor communication would lead to poor employee engagement and attrition. I believe that having good communication would provide constructive exchange of ideas, thoughts and opinions which is an important attribute to have as a leader in a work environment. Audiences will pay attention and respect to one who has the attribute of good communication.
Critical thinking has a relation to good communication. Someone who adhere to critical thinking would impose intellectual standard to his thoughts and have it evaluated and sorted out before communicating it. This will show one’s great prominent traits which are highly respected of a leader. Someone who does not inculcate critical thinking may not possess intellectual traits. This will then lead to improper exchange of information and thoughts among employees due to the lack of respect or trust. In conclusion, I believe that good communication with critical thinking will benefit us as a leader in the workplace.
